Hurricane Michael

In October of 2018 Hurricane Michael made landfall causing catastrophic damage to coastal areas. John was asked to assist through the Google Crisis and Connectivity Team. John deployed to Florida post-disaster, through one of GCC ‘s Non-profit affiliates ITDRC. The request by the local municipalities was to capture aerial imagery of vital infrastructures, to assess the damage, and to capture imagery to help FEMA assess the overall damage. John worked in the town of Lynn Haven and for Bay County.
